DataCite Global Access Funds is an initiative aimed at promoting and supporting global access to research data. As a nonprofit organization, DataCite seeks to enable researchers, institutions, and organizations around the world to openly share their valuable data resources. The Global Access Funds program provides financial support to cover the costs under the three categories that include Outreach and engagement activities, Open Infrastructure development and integration and Demonstrators. "The GAF is part of the DataCite Global Access Program (GAP) made possible by grant Grant 2022-316573 from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative" DataCite (2024).
The INFLIBNET Centre had applied for the Funds under Outreach category which has been approved by the DataCite for Funding.
